Achinoam Nini אחינועם ניני (known also as NOA), Israeli born of Yemenite origin, raised in the US, resides in Israel with her husband and 3 children. She is Israel’s leading international singer/songwriter, having shared the stage with superstars such as Sting, Pat Metheny, Quincy Jones, Stevie Wonder, Andrea Bocelli and many more, and is Israel’s first Good Will Ambassador for FAO, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN. She was also given the honorary title of Cavalliera de la Republica Italiana by Italy’s former President Napolitano, and among her many accolades is the Chrystal Award of the World Economic Forum, where she was also chosen a Global Leader of Tomorrow.

Together with her longstanding collaborator Gil Dor, she has released over 15 albums which have sold millions the world over. Noa was the first Jew to perform in the Vatican 20 years ago and has done so many times since. Recently she and Gil Dor were he only artists chosen to perform in the culmination event of World Youth Day in Krakow, before Pope Francis and an audience of 2 million people.

Noa wrote lyrics to and recorded the hugely successful theme song for the Academy Award winning film “La Vita e Bella”. She sings in six languages, has collaborated with Symphony Orchestras around the world, and performed in the world’s most prestigious venues, including the White House and Carnegie Hall. Beyond her passionate commitment to music, Noa dedicates much of her time to promoting peace and dialogue between Israel and Palestine and to various social issues, volunteering extensively for organizations in these fields. She was the only leading Israeli artist to agree to perform in the historic peace rally where Yitzchak Rabin was murdered, and has since become Israel’s most outstanding celebrity advocate for the two state solution. Noa has collaborated with numerous artists in the Arab world, including Khaled from Algeria and Nabil Salameh from Lebanon, but most notably with Israeli /Palestinian artist Mira Awad, with whom she represented Israel in the 2009 Eurovision, singing before and audience of many millions in Arabic, English and Hebrew. Noa is active on the public board of the Um El Fahem Museum of Art, the Arava Desert Institute, the Polyphony Music project of Nazareth and the New Israel Fund. She is also involved in the Israel Peace Initiative, Yalla young Leaders, and IsraAid.
It is Noa’s belief that artists can and should be leaders in society, connecting people on the highest and deepest level possible.
