Few voices resonate deeper and more authentic than Lina’s. Always in love with Amália’s work, Lina proved herself to be one of the best interpreters of her day with the Lina_Raül Refree project in which her voice crossed paths with the art of the award-winning Catalan producer.
This art has been refined over the last years in her residency at Clube de Fado, refining, in her natural habitat, the drama that fado demands, but with the inventiveness that only true artists can achieve. This inventiveness, in the case of the record she shares the authorship with Raül Refree, has earned her numerous distinctions and nominations for awards by the press and international institutions: from the Music Moves Europe Talent Awards, for which the work Lina_Raul Refree was nominated, to the victory at the Preis Der Deutschen Schallplattenkritik, the German music critics’ trophy, passing through, among many others, the COUP DE COEUR 2020 awarded by the Prix de L’Académie Charles Cros. These distinctions were also confirmed on stages of international reference, in an extensive tour that was only interrupted by the pandemic, but that still drew applause from the audiences of the Fondation Cartier, the Mitsubishi Electric Hall, the Eurosonic and La Mar de Músicas Festivals, and that already has many concerts scheduled for events such as the FMM Sines. But Lina’s work goes back further: she published her own albums Carolina, in 2014, and enCantado, in 2017, both of which showed that she is a full-bodied fado singer with a deep soul. Preparing a new chapter in her extraordinary career, Lina returns to the stage with all those fados that have marked her steps and in which her voice shines as it always has.
